Patriots want Musharraf in uniform for 10 years

By Staff Reporter

LAHORE, Sept 6: The Punjab PPP (Rao Sikandar faction) on Monday said that President Musharraf should retain his uniform for at least 10 years in the larger national interest.

Party's provincial information secretary Rao Yasser Iqbal said in a statement that the present system was working only because of Gen Musharraf and, therefore, he must hold the dual position.

He said the PPP would hold seminars and also set up camps in various cities to mobilize public opinion on the subject. Rao Yasser said his party was the genuine PPP, registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan, and any leader or party using the same nomenclature could face a suit for damages.
