PESHAWAR: Rice exporters' grievances

PESHAWAR, Sept 5: The NWFP rice exporters have said that being deprived of many facilities they are facing serious hurdle in the promotion of export of rice to a neighbouring countries.

A press release issued here on Sunday by the United Group, an association of rice exporters, said that there was a need to establish offices in bordering districts and in the provincial metropolis to promote the export of rice to Afghanistan and other neighbouring countries.

The members of the United Group gathered at a meeting held in connection with the All Pakistan Rice Exporters Association election to be held this month, the press release said.

The members said that the group of rice exporters under the banner of the United Group would coordinate with the rice exporters of the NWFP to solve their problems. The association members said that there was a need for establishment of offices in Peshawar.
