KARACHI, Sept 2: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Thursday paid a detailed visit to Razzaqabad Anti-terrorist Police Training Centre.

Provincial Minister for Home Rauf Siddiqui, Minister for Zakat and Ushr Mir Manzoor Panhwar, Adviser to the CM on Information Salahuddin Haider, IGP Kamal Shah, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Syed Anwar Hyder and other senior police officers were present on the occasion.

Principal of the Training Centre Col (r) Wahid Khan gave a briefing to the chief minister and informed him that 7,500 personnel had passed out from this centre so far. Dr Arbab Rahim went round various sections of the centre and witnessed an impressive demonstration. He also gave away awards to the jawans who had presented a demonstration on an anti-terrorist operation.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that he had asked the IGP to furnish him details of the arms, equipment, vehicles, etc., required for the police department. He pledged that the Police Training Centre, the Anti-terrorist Training Centre, and trainers and staff of the two institutions would be provided with all essential equipment and other necessities of life.

He said that school, mosque, hospital and other facilities at the ATPTC of Razzaqabad would also be ensured. On this occasion, the chief minister announced a monthly allowance of Rs1,200 for the under-training police officials at the centre. -APP
