DHAKA, Aug 27: The government of Bangladesh on Friday enhanced the security for the Awami League president Sheikh Hasina.
Additional personnel from the uniformed and plainclothes security agencies were deployed around Sudah Sadan, the Dhanmondi residence of Ms Hasina (who is also the leader of the opposition in parliament), official sources said.
Police also set up five check posts outside Sudha Sadan. The security measures came six days after the bomb attack on an Awami League rally on Aug 21, in which Ms Hasina had a narrow escape.
