ISLAMABAD, Aug 22: As many as 39 murders, including seven honour killings, have been reported in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) jurisdiction during the current year.

Talking to this agency, the SP Investigation Wing, Ehsan Sadiq, said two murders were reported in the name of honour killing in the area of Sihala police station, while one each honour killing case was reported in Aabpara, I-9, Kohsar, Margalla and Tarnol police station jurisdictions.

Eleven murders were reported in I-9 police station jurisdiction which was followed by Tarnol police station with six murders. Likewise, two persons were assassinated at Aabpara police station, two at Kohsar, two at Margalla, three at Golra, five at Sihala, four Secretariat and four at Bhara Kahu police station areas.

About the problems being faced by the investigation wing in probing some gang-rape and murder cases, the SP told that final medical reports did not match with the grouping of the post- molestation tests and did not even describe any cause of murders.

The SP cited medical reports of some gang-rape and murder cases in which the reports contradicted molestation and did not describe any cause of death in the murder case. These chemical examination reports are not reliable and are delayed deliberately, he said and stressed for authentic chemical examination report to ensure fair and transparent investigation. -APP
