Allegations of cross-border infiltration rejected

ISLAMABAD, Aug 19: Pakistan on Thursday rejected allegations of cross-border infiltration made recently by some "responsible members" of the Indian government.

"The government of Pakistan regrets baseless allegations," a Foreign office spokesman said in a statement here. He said such charges were not in consonance with the positive spirit that "underpins the ongoing composite dialogue process".

The spokesman said the real issue at hand was the massive repression in the occupied Kashmir by the Indian security forces, which has intensified in the last few months. -APP
