Aziz wins both seats by huge margin
 ISLAMABAD, Aug 18: Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz has won both the Attock and Tharparkar seats of the National Assembly by a heavy margin, according to unofficial results. According to Attock District Nazim Maj (retd) Tahir Sadiq, the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) candidate defeated Dr Sikandar Hayat of the Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) by a margin of 46,059 votes.

Shujaat to quit by 25th, says Rashid
ISLAMABAD, Aug 18: Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain will relinquish his office some time between Aug 22 and 25 to make way for Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz to take over as new chief executive. Information Minister Sheikh Rashid said this while briefing reporters on decisions taken by the federal cabinet at a meeting here on Wednesday. This was the last meeting of the cabinet headed by Chaudhry Shujaat.
