KARACHI, Aug 16: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has said that state force is being used against people of Balochistan who are demanding their legitimate rights.

Addressing his party workers at Landhi, Federal B Area and North Karachi, he observed that the people of Balochistan too, like the people of Sindh, were facing injustices and state operations, which are highly deplorable.

He said that even after 57 years of independence, smaller provinces were deprived of their legitimate rights in the country. Sindh contributes 70 per cent to the national exchequer but does not even receive half of this in return, he added, saying that people of Sindh were being deprived of employment, education and health facilities and other basic necessities.

He pointed out to his workers that they must not forget that ministries and participation in the government was not the destiny of their party and those were only secondary and of least importance.
