Dehydration plant for dates

KARACHI, Aug 16: The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (Unisame) has been successful in the promotion of export of machinery designed by the Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) and has received a firm enquiry for the export of dehydration of dates plant from a buyer of Yemen.

The Yemeni buyer has said this year the crop of dates is excellent and are interested in importing machinery for dehydration of fresh dates. Unisame president Zulfikar Thaver is very optimistic about prospective customers in all the dates growing countries and has congratulated the PCSIR on its success and looks forward to the development of many plants and machineries for vapours purposes.

He also asked SMEs to contact the PCSIR for their requirements of upgradation, balancing and modernization for which the council has excellent arrangements. The PCSIR has developed many projects for dehydration of fruits and vegetables and SMEs can benefit from these projects.
