KARACHI: SSC-I general group results announced


KARACHI, Aug 13: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Friday announced the results of annual examinations 2004 of SSC part-I (Class-IX), General group (regular and private) 2004.

According to statistics, some 34,189 regular candidates, including 9,630 boys and 24,559 girls, were registered for the exams, 32,962 appeared and 12,270 were declared pass in all five papers with an overall percentage of 37.22.

Furthermore, some 7,222 private candidates, including 4,739 boys and 2,483 girls were registered, 6,675 appeared and 2,164 were declared pass in all five papers with an overall percentage of 36.42.

As per the board's notification, 7,381 regular students passed in four papers, 6,202 in three papers, 3,693 in two papers and 2,203 in one paper. While 1,684 private students passed in four papers, 1,238 in three papers, 775 in two papers and 497 passed in one paper.

The announcement further said that marks sheets would be issued after two weeks. Marks sheets of regular candidates would be issued to the authorized representatives of the schools/institutions from the board. While those of private candidates would be mailed on their addresses, the announcement added. - PPI/APP
