Scope for investment bright, says Shujaat


ISLAMABAD, Aug 13: Prime Minister Ch Shujaat Hussain said on Friday that market in Pakistan was growing and there was tremendous scope for investment in various sectors.

He was talking to a delegation of entrepreneurs and investors from Thailand, Malaysia and Australia who met Prime Minister Ch. Shujaat Hussain to discuss possibility of investment and joint ventures in Pakistan in the fields of construction, engineering services, hotel industry and real estate development.

Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz was also present during the meeting. Shujaat said big cities like Lahore and Karachi have great demand for new hotels, mega malls and shopping malls and housing sector development.

Pakistan, he said, would not only welcome joint ventures for these sectors but would also facilitate foreign investors in this regard. The Prime Minister said that tourism industry in Pakistan also had great potential for foreign investment in collaboration with the local people. -APP
