SUKKUR: Four of a family fall unconscious

SUKKUR, Aug 12: Four members of a family fell unconscious after eating poisonous dates in Salehpat on Wednesday night.

In the Riaz Abad village near Salehpat, Ali Gohar Mirani, Mohammad Soomar Mirani, Sahib Bibi and Sachal Bibi of the same family fainted after consuming poisonous dates. They were taken to the Sukkur Civil Hospital.

Meanwhile, the railway police brought one Mohammad Hassan Arain, 60, a passenger of the Tezgam Express, to the Rohri Taluka Hospital in an unconscious condition. Doctors said the man had taken poisonous tea in the train.

KILLED: A man was shot dead by three persons in the Pano Aqil police station jurisdiction here on Wednesday night. The man killed was identified as Idrees Chachar, 50.

Police have registered a case against the accused. The reason behind the murder could not be ascertained.
