NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: Kidnapped man freed

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Aug 12: A man, Punhal Tanwari, was recovered by police after an encounter with bandits on Thursday morning.

The Hassan Shaheed police headed by the TPO of Kandiaro conducted a raid and recovered Punhal Tanwri who had been kidnapped on Friday. However, bandits managed to escape. The recovered man is a manager of landlord Shahid Tanwri. The police registered a case against Sajid Jiskani, Nazeer Kehar, Basheer Jamali and three others.

HUNGER STRIKE: About 15 temporary watchmen led by Younus Rajpar observed a token hunger strike outside the district food controller office, Naushahro Feroze, on Thursday.

They said they were appointed some ten years back but their services had not been regularised. They said Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Raheem had promised for their regularization. On this occasion, Ghanwar Makrani, Rehmat Umrani, Moosa Pirzado and Raja Lund announced to commit self-immolation on Friday.
