Drawback rates lowered

ISLAMABAD, Aug 12: The Central Board of Revenue has revised downward the rate of duty drawback on export of polyester fusible interlining woven. The new rate will be effective from August 12, said a customs notification issued on Thursday.

The rate of duty drawback will be Rs1.14 per kg on export of 100 per cent cotton bleached fusible interlining woven with LDPE or HDPE; Rs4.09 per kg on 100 per cent polyester (imported) fusible interlining woven with LDPE or HDPE; Rs2.09 per kg on 100 per cent polyester (local) fusible interlining woven with LDPE or HDPE.

And the rate of duty drawback will be Rs2.98 per kg on 50 per cent polyester (imported) 50 per cent cotton fusible interlining woven with LDPE or HDPE; Rs1.72 per kg on 50 per cent polyester (local) 50 per cent cotton fusible interlining woven with LDPE or HDPE.

The rate of duty drawback will be Rs4.01 per kg on 100 per cent polyester (imported) fusible interlining non-woven with LDPE or HDPE; Rs1.90 per kg on 100 per cent polyester (local) fusible interlining non-woven with LDPE or HDPE; Rs4.55 per kg on 100 per cent polyester (imported) non-fusible interlining non-woven; Rs1.36 per kg on 100 per cent polypropylene (local) non-fusible interlining non-woven with LDPE or HDPE and Rs14.42 per kg on export of 100 per cent polypropylene non-fusible interlining woven.

KNITTED GARMENTS: The CBR has also scaled down the rate of duty drawback on export of blended knitted garments. The new rate will be effective from August 12. The duty drawback rate will be 2.14 per cent of the fob value on export of dyed or printed blended knitted garments made of cotton, rayon or viscose and lycra (47.5 per cent rayon or viscose and five per cent lycra spandex.

The rate of duty drawback will be 1.55 per cent of the fob value on export of bleached blended knitted garments made of cotton, rayon or viscose and lycra (47.5 per cent cotton, 47.5 per cent rayon or viscose and five per cent lycra spandex).
