ISLAMABAD, Aug 10: Chief Election Commissioner Justice Irshad Hasan Khan (retired), has ordered deployment of, personnel of armed forces at all the polling stations in the by-elections in NA-59 Attock-II and NA-229 Tharparkar-I to maintain law and order and ensure peaceful polling.

This arrangement will be in addition to elaborate plans prepared by the provincial governments/local administration and returning officers concerned for deployment of other law enforcement agencies on Aug 18, 2004, to ensure that voters of both constituencies cast their votes without any fear or hindrance.
