KARACHI, Aug 8: The Baloch Students' Organization staged a protest demo on Sunday evening outside Karachi Press Club against the reported military operation in Balochistan.
The demonstrators shouted slogans against government for military operation and setting up of cantonments in Balochistan. About 200 protesters gathered outside the Karachi Press Club and blocked the road leading to Saddar for some time.
They demanded withdrawal of cases registered against Baloch nationalist leaders. Meanwhile, the ladies wing of Pakistan Peoples Party organized a hunger strike camp outside the Karachi Press Club to protest against acute water shortage in Lyari.
Women and children from Lyari took part in token hunger strike. MPA Nasreen Chandio of the PPP was also present at the camp. -PPI
