KARACHI: 250kva PMT installed

KARACHI, Aug 1: The KESC has added another 250kva PMT to its distribution network in Soldier Bazaar area for providing stable power supply. Member Sindh Assembly Syed Akhtar Hussain Bilgrami inaugurated the PMT at Supari Wala Compound, Doli Khata, said a statement issued on Sunday.

KESC chief engineer Shabbir Solangi, deputy chief engineer A.H. Parchani and sub-divisional officer Inam Mehdi were also present. Speaking on the occasion, MPA Mr Bilgrami said the KESC had taken a good step by restructuring its zonal offices, urging upon the utility's engineers to improve performance of their complaint centres, so that consumer complaints could be addressed in an effective manner.

He said that elected public representatives were striving to resolve basic problems of people with the cooperation and coordination of all civic agencies including the KESC.

He also surveyed the area along with chief engineer and other officers and said that old wires were needed to be replaced. KESC chief engineer Shabbir Solangi informed the MPA that all restructured sub-divisional offices were providing a one-window facility to its customers.

He said the KESC was implementing system improvement schemes in full consultation with elected public representatives. He also said that two more PMTs would be energized in Ajaz Colony, Lasbella in the next few days, while adding that wires would be replaced wherever needed. - APP
