NOWSHERA: Hijacked car found at policeman's house

NOWSHERA, July 31: The Nowshera police on Friday recovered the lifted vehicle of a relative of former prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif from the house of an Attock police official at Shaidu village.

The SUSPECT, Anwer Iqbal, could not be arrested as he was performing duty at a public meeting of Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz.

The new Corolla bearing registration No.LRZ-6539, owned by Mian Abdul Rasheed, and was lifted from Garden Town in Lahore on Wednesday.

Anwer Iqbal, a driver at Attock Khurd police station, had allegedly taken it away from its driver Saleem Raza.

An FIR of the case was registered at the Model Town police station in Lahore.

The vehicle had a tracking device which helped police trace it.

The police raided the house and arrested Anwer Iqbal's brother ZafarIqbal, who stated that his brother had brought the car on Thursday night.
