KARACHI: Free entry for special persons at Safari Park
KARACHI, July 29: The City Nazim, Naimatullah Khan, on Thursday exempted special persons and children from paying entry fee and other ticket charges at the Safari Park.
The Nazim directed the park administration to stop charging them for coaches and wheeler-train as well.
The coaches in the Safari Park normally charge Rs 20 for adults. The Nazim also ordered removal of nurseries outside the park to facilitate visitors, especially in parking their vehicles, and asked the park administration to complete construction of lavatories as early as possible.
The orders were part of the city government's recent efforts to attract more visitors to the park, besides transforming it into a place of family recreation spot. For the purpose, many new animals have also been added to the Safari area. These included various species of deer, ostriches, peacocks etc.
The city district government has also invited tenders for purchase of new animals. The city nazim has also approached the Sindh Wildlife department for provision of more animals to the park. -Agencies
