KARACHI: Bandits kill man, injure his wife

KARACHI, July 10: A man was shot dead at his house when he put up strong resistance to armed bandits in Saeedabad police limits on Saturday.

Police said that two armed men barged into the house of Jamil Ahmed Khatri, 35. The bandits started collecting jewellery and cash at gunpoint. As Jamil resisted, the bandits opened fire and fled.

Jamil Ahmed, an electrician, died on the spot and his wife Shahida, 30, was wounded. The body was taken to a hospital for autopsy following which it was returned to the family for burial. The condition of Shahida was stated to be out of danger.

BODY FOUND: The body of a young man was found from a gunny bag near an eating house in Pak Colony.

Police said that the gunny bag was lying behind Achanak Hotel in Muslimabad. The body with torture marks and stab wounds was shifted to a hospital for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the body of a young man was recovered from the sea at Keamari berth. The body was sent to Civil Hospital.
