Musharraf due in Baku today

ISLAMABAD, July 7: President Gen Pervez Musharraf will pay a three-day state visit to Azerbaijan from July 8 to 10 and hold talks with the leadership to further enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.

The president's entourage include Begum Sehba Musharraf, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Minister for Privatization, members of parliament, governor of State Bank, foreign secretary and senior officials.

The president will be accorded a warm welcome in Baku when he arrives on July 8 at the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev.

The visit will be followed by official talks with the President of Azerbaijan to be followed by a joint press conference. President Aliyev will host a banquet in honour of Gen Musharraf. -APP
