SIALKOT, July 7: The ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina has announced five-year tax exemption to Sialkot exporters, motivating them to invest in his country.

Ambassador Avdo-Abdullah Hodizic was speaking at a reception hosted in his honour by Sialkot's leading woman exporter, Begum Musarrat Khurshid Sufi, at her factory here on Wednesday.

Mr Hodizic assured the business community that the Bosnian government would make sincere efforts for enhancing mutual trade. He said there were bright opportunities of setting up joint ventures between Sialkot and Bosnian business community in different fields.

THEFT: Unidentified thieves took away leather and leather goods worth Rs1 million from the factory of Nazir Ahmad in Muradpur on Tuesday night. Muradpur police have registered a case. Meanwhile, armed men drove away with the car (LRY-2757) of Muazzam at gunpoint from Sialkot-Head Marala Road.

BENGALIS ARRESTED: The Pakistani forces arrested two Bengalis, Jamal, 37, and Murad, 25, for illegally entering into Pakistan from Jhumat village on Tuesday evening. They have been shifted to undisclosed place for interrogation.
