KARACHI: City govt earns Rs84m from hoardings


KARACHI, June 29: The city district government earned Rs84.59 million through auction of outdoor hoardings held at Civic Centre on June 26, 28 and 29.

According to the city government, every person who attended the auction was allowed to bid and no one complained or protested during the process.

The auction process was supervized by the executive district officer, revenue, Mohammed Waseem; district officer, local taxes, Mohammed Rehan Khan; and union council nazims Saifuddin advocate, Saeed Ghani and Zahid Saeed.

Hoardings on the Schon Chowrangi were auctioned for Rs7.8 million; Tin Talwar Chowrangi for Rs2.5 million; Play Land for Rs4.76 million; Boat Basin for Rs4.55 million; Sharea Faisal, Airport to Metropole, for Rs10 million; Sharea Faisal, Metropole to Airport, for Rs7.05 million, SMCHS roundabout for Rs1.72 million; Pepsi roundabout for Rs4.3 million; Stadium tri-vision for Rs2.2 million; Hasan Square roundabout for Rs8.025 million; Board Office roundabout for Rs10.025 million; Gulshan roundabout for Rs8 million; Numaish roundabout for Rs2 million; Guru Mandar roundabout for Rs920,000; Jail Road roundabout for Rs920,000; FTC Flyover for Rs2.4 million, Clifton Bridge for Rs375,000; COD Bridge for Rs315,000 and Shaheed-e-Millat Flyover for Rs1.35 million. -APP
