Pakistanis in BD decry remarks

DHAKA, June 28: The Stranded Pakistanis General Repatriation Committee (SPRGC) on Monday decided to hoist black flags in all camps in Bangladesh for three days and at its head office for a week to protest some "remarks" made by the Pakistan high commissioner in Dhaka.

Nasim Khan of the SPRGC in a press statement said the high commissioner, Manzur Shafiq, told a delegation of the stranded Pakistanis on Sunday that Pakistan had already fulfilled the Delhi agreement and as such had no obligation to rehabilitate the people stranded in Bangladesh.

"The remarks have hurt the feelings of the stranded Pakistanis languishing in 66 camps in Bangladesh," Nasim Khan said.
