KARACHI: Slow pace of road repair resented

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, June 27: The residents of Baghdadi Union Council, Lyari Town, have called for early completion of repair work on Kharadar-Baghdadi section of Shah Latif Bhittai Road.

Expressing concern over the slow pace of work on this vital link between Lyari and Saddar towns, they said a portion of this section had been closed for repairing damaged sewerage lines, which were causing traffic jams on the said route.

They said the work on the road, which was badly damaged during the last monsoon rains, was carried out a few months back, and a large portion of the road, right from the Bihar Colony up to the Kalri Police Station, had been completed last month.

However, work on the remaining portion of the road, starting from the Mir Ayub School, Baghdadi, up to the Aga Khan Maternity Home, Kharadar, could not be undertaken due to some chocked underground sewerage lines.
