PESHAWAR: Six women die as water tank collapses


PESHAWAR, June 27: Six women, including a minor girl, of the same family, were killed when the overhead water tank of their house in Khyber Agency collapsed on Sunday.

According to an official of the political administration, the incident took place at the residence of Akhyar Khan in Sam Baba area in Jamrud.

Three children also sustained injuries who had been admitted to the agency headquarters hospital, the official added.

The women were engaged in their routine work when suddenly the tank fell on them, he said.

The deceased were identified as wives of Qasim, Siddiq, Mohammad Shafi and Hayat Khan. Two of the dead were daughters of Jalil and Noor Ali.-APP
