KARACHI: Two men shot dead

KARACHI, June 21: Two men were shot dead in different parts of the city on Monday. A man was shot dead by bandits in Lyari on Monday. Police said that Naseer Ahmed, 45, was going in a rickshaw, after withdrawing cash from a bank branch in Kalakot, when some unknown persons on motorcycle intercepted him and demanded the cash. When Naseer offered resistance, the bandits shot him and fled away along with the cash.

The wounded man was rushed to the Civil Hospital where he died during treatment. In Liaquatabad, a man was shot dead by unknown suspects on Monday. Police said that Ibrahim, 50, was shot dead in Ilyas Goth by unknown persons in the limits of Super Market police station.

The victim was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The police suspected some personal enmity as a motive behind the killing.

RECOVERED: Bodies of the three youths, who were swept away by strong sea waves and drowned on Sunday, were washed ashore on Monday. Police said that bodies of Abid and Sabtain were washed ashore at the Hawakesbay beach. Meanwhile, body of Arif, the third victim, was recovered from Naleem Point on Monday. Arif was swept away by strong currents off the beach at Cape Montz.
