KARACHI: Ministers get power to help job seekers


KARACHI, June 12: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has ordered that his powers for permitting age relaxation up to 10 years to candidates seeking government job be assigned to all provincial ministers.

He ordered that chief secretary could also allow age relaxation up to 10 years in those departments, which would be without a minister.

It was stated that there had been a ban on jobs for the last 12 to 13 years and job seekers had been facing problems in getting age relaxation.

It may be mentioned here that the chief secretary had the power to allow age relaxation up to five years and a secretary up to three years.

WATER TRAGEDY: Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim will preside over an important meeting with taluka nazims at the secretariat of Hyderabad district nazim on Sunday at 9am on the issue of the supply of contaminated water.

Later, he will chair a high-level meeting at the Circuit House to review law and order situation. He will also meet legislators of the area and other citizens.

Dr Arbab will visit the houses of those who died after consuming toxic water. He will visit Civil Hospital and Shah Bhitai Hospital to inquire about the health of other water tragedy victims people treatment there.-PPI/APP
