KARACHI: Four killed in Karachi

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, June 5: A headless body, with torture marks, was found in a gunny bag in DHA. Police said the gunny bag was lying near Karimi Mosque in Phase-II. The body bore torture marks, with its head chopped off.

The body was later kept at Edhi morgue for an identification, police added.

A man was killed after he was counter-attacked by his rivals in Keamari.

Police said Ansar Butt alias Pappu went to kill his rival Sajid alias Goga over an old enmity. Ansar had allegedly killed Goga's brother, Abid, some years back.

As Butt attacked Goga, near fishery market in Keamari, Goga escaped and counter-attacked Butt, who suffered fatal bullet wounds and died on the spot. Goga escaped from the scene.

The Jackson police shifted the body to Civil Hospital for autopsy and started conducting raids to nab Goga.

A youth was shot dead and another wounded when some unidentified armed men opened fire on them in Kalakot, Lyari.

Kalakot police said that Naeem Iqbal, 25, with his colleagues, was sitting at a place near Mujahid Park when some unknown men fired at them and fled. As a result, Naeem and Abdur Rafiq suffered bullet wounds. They were taken to a hospital where Naeem was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police claimed that Naeem was the son of Babu Dacoit, who was allegedly involved in several cases and released later on bail. Naeem, the police claimed, was also wanted in many criminal cases.

Another youth, in his 30s, was shot dead in Chakiwara by unknown persons.

Identified as Arshad alias Adil Irani, 30, was linked with a criminal group of Rehman Dacoit. Arshad was standing in a street in Singolane when unknown people targeted him and escaped. Arshad suffered fatal bullet wounds and died on the spot. Later, his body was shifted to Civil Hospital for autopsy.
