Resource Group acquires iSKY

KARACHI, May 27: The Resource Group (TRG) announced on Thursday the acquisition of iSKY Inc (iSKY), a leading provider of customer care and marketing services to global 1,000 companies in North America and Europe.

In a statement released to the press on Thursday, TRG stated that headquartered in Laurel, Maryland, near Washington DC, iSKY has two contact centre facilities in the United States and one facility each in Canada and UK.

TRG is the largest IT-enabled company in Pakistan and is publicly traded on the Karachi Stock Exchange. TRG employs an innovative business model which consists of taking controlling stakes in US call centre companies and shifting a portion of their operations to its offshore facility in Pakistan.

The statement quoted Zia Chishti, CEO of TRG as saying: "iSKY represents TRG's sixth largest acquisition to date and further accelerates our rapid growth towards becoming a leading global IT-enabled services company".

He said that he was extremely pleased to welcome iSKY into the TRG family and was confident that significant value would be added through the company's innovative approach.

Michael Borton, CEO of iSKY was quoted to have said: "We are very excited about joining the TRG portfolio and look forward to a long and fruitful partnership between iSKY and TRG".

iSKY announced that it would continue to serve its current clientele from existing contact centres in the US, Canada and the UK, and would expand its services delivery capabilities to include offshore resources in Pakistan as well.
