PM calls for ending extremism

ISLAMABAD, May 2: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has urged the nation to promote unity among themselves as the sole solution to eradicate all kinds of extremism.

In his message, the prime minister said efforts should be made to eradicate terrorism, violence and sectarianism and to promote unity for the country's prosperity.

Mr Jamali said today the world is overwhelmed with mutual animosity, extremism, hatred and malice. This is because of refraining from maintaining a balance and equilibrium in the personal, national and international matters.

"To maintain such balance and unity among the ranks is the only solution to fight against all kinds of extremist approaches." Prime minister said the country was facing tough times because sectarianism and extremism were not only proving as hurdles in the way to success but also damaging the country's image at international level.

He said the Holy Prophet (PBUH) gave us the teachings of love, kindness, tolerance and patience and by following this, we can get rid of these problems and can attain success in this world and the hereafter. -APP
