LAHORE, April 20: Partly cloudy weather and strong dust-raising winds dropped Lahore's maximum temperature from Monday's 41 degrees Celsius to 39.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
The meteorological office said this phenomenon was caused by a low pressure area over Balochistan and adjoining areas of Sindh and south Punjab.
Rain is reported in some parts of the NWFP and the northern areas because of the low pressure. The city's minimum temperature was 23.8 degrees Celsius with 21 per cent humidity in the morning and 18 per cent in the evening.
According to the Met office, Astore received 25mm of rain, Gilgit 18mm, Malamjabba 16mm, Chillas 10mm, Bunji and Garhi Dupatta 8mm each, Balakot 6mm, Murree and Skardu 5mm each and Muzaffargarh, Kakul and Saidu Sharif 4mm each.
