KARACHI, March 29: Police got a schoolgirl freed from the clutches of her captives after 20 minutes of her kidnapping in Site Town on Monday. Site TPO Imran Shaukat told Dawn that three men reached a private school in Pirabad and kidnapped the schoolgirl (F) at gunpoint.

She was coming out of the school after taking examination. The school's principal informed Madadgar 15, and the police put a check in the city.

The Site police spotted a suspicious car and signalled it to stop. The occupants of the car tried to flee, but the police intercepted them. Imran Shaukat said that one of the occupants of the car, later identified as Waheed, managed to escape firing in the air.

However, the police arrested Naeem and Mohammad Sadiq, recovered the girl and impounded the car (AFD-408). "We are investigating if the car was stolen. We are also interrogating suspects for the motive of the kidnapping," the TPO Site said.
