Rangers, BSF officials to meet in Lahore

NEW DELHI, March 20: Officers of Pakistan Rangers and India's paramilitary Border Security Forces would meet in Lahore on March 24 for the first time after the December 2001 attack on Indian parliament, reports said on Saturday.

Press Trust of India quoted BSF sources in Jodhpur as saying that the meeting would discuss issues related to border smuggling and the Indians languishing in Pakistani jails. The three-day meeting would help sort out the issue of putting up more check posts, sources said.
