NAWABSHAH, March 17: Four persons were killed and 19 others were injured when a speedy trailer collided with a bus at Sakrand bypass here on Wednesday.

Fateh Mohammad Pathan, 50, Liaquat Ali, 20, Laxmi, 35, and a woman whose name could not be ascertained died when the Nawabshah-bound passenger bus (JA-9642), coming from Hyderabad, collided with the trailer (JP-6472), coming from Sukkur.

A truck (JKB-4263), coming from Sukkur, also hit the trailer from behind. The injured - Mir Mohammad Brohi, Imtiaz Chandio, Ghulam Ghaus, Rajab Ali, Haleem Pathan, Mohammad Soomar Rind, Pir Bux Rind, Sikandar Rind, Miskeen Machhi, Sadaruddin Jamali, Hussain Shah, Ghulam Shabbir Rind, Umeed Ali Rind, Mohammad Ali Chandio, Alu Khaskheli, Arbelo Jamali, Sarwar Ali, Das Bagri and Aziza Chandio - were taken to the Sakrand Taluka Hospital from where 11 persons were shifted to the People's Medical College Hospital, Nawabshah. The Sakrand police have arrested trailer driver Kitab Shah.
