UAE team arrives

ISLAMABAD, Mar 7: A four-member delegation of the United Arab Emirates, led by Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Auqaf Mohammad Al Nakhairah Al Daheri, arrived here on Sunday.

Minister of State for Law, Justice and Human Rights Raza Hayat Hiraj welcomed the delegation at the airport and briefed them on the country's legal and human rights system.

He informed them that Pakistan's judicial systems was based on the Holy Quran and Sunnah. Two officials of foreign office, the director-general of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and a senior official of the UAE's ministry of information are included in the delegation.

Another member of the delegation, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, is scheduled to arrive here on Monday. -APP
