SUKKUR, March 1: Sindh Oadh Panchayat president Gulsher has appealed to the prime minister, president, Sindh chief minister and other authorities to ensure the release of three kidnapped women of his tribe.

In a statement sent to this correspondent on Monday, he also appealed to human rights organizations to come to the rescue of the women. He said armed Shar tribesmen attacked the Hooranabad village near Mureed Shakh, Ubauro police station jurisdiction, Ghotki, six days back and took away Sardaran, 40, wife of Dadu, her daughter, Zarina, and Laila, wife of Sonaro.

He said the police registered a case against five unidentified persons without consulting the aggrieved party.Mr Gulsher accused the police of demanding illegal gratification for taking action against the culprits.

SUI GAS: Residents of the city have complained the low Sui gas pressure. Talking to this correspondent on Sunday, they said they made several complaints to the officials of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited but nothing had been done so far.

A delegation of women from the Bunder Road area met with the high officials of the company and complained against the low pressure of the gas, especially on Fridays and Sundays.

The people of Frere Road, Bunder Road, Shahi Bazaar, Sarafa Bazaar and other areas said it was almost impossible to cook some thing on it. Women of the area said it was very disturbing for them as their children often had to go to school without breakfast. The residents appealed to the authorities concerned to take immediate action and resolve the problem.
