Three hurt in Kashmir explosion

SRINAGAR, Feb 29: Freedom fighters wounded three civilians when they fired grenades at a security camp in Indian Kashmir on Sunday, police said. The three civilians, including a woman, were injured by the grenades that hit residences here, a police spokesman said.

"The militants fired four rifle grenades towards a security force camp but three of the grenades hit residences and the fourth did not explode," he said.

The attack came two days after the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, escaped unhurt when guerillas fired two grenades at a public rally he was attending. -AFP
