PTCL reduces phone shifting charges


ISLAMABAD, Feb 20: The telephone shifting charges have been reduced by 50 per cent, says an official of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company.

The charges for shifting of telephone within the same city have been decreased from Rs1,000 to Rs500 with immediate effect, Tanvir Ahmed, SEVP, headquarters said.

Mr Tanvir Ahmad said the company has also waived charges for change of name and title of telephone connection with immediate effect. Previously, the company charged Rs500 for the service, which would now be free of cost.

The PTCL has also decided to waived security deposit for ISD facility for customers whose monthly bill is at least Rs3,000 and who have regularly been paying their bills for the past 12 months. -APP
