HYDERABAD, Feb 19: Anti-Slavery International director Mary Cunnen here on Thursday met a peasant, Mannu Bheel, who has been protesting for over a year against kidnapping of his nine family members by an influential landlord of Sanghar district.
Expressing solidarity with Mr Bheel, she said that her organization had made an urgent action appeal to the federal government for the recovery of the kidnapped family members. Mr Bheel has been observing a token hunger strike outside the local press club for more than a year.
BISE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, has clarified the EDOs had only been instructed to nominate external examiners whose appointment letters would be issued by the BISE and payment to the supervisory staff would be made according to approved rates.
