THE HAGUE, Feb 19: Live video footage of the world court's hearings into the legality of the security barrier Israel is building along the West Bank will be broadcast on the Internet, the International Court of Justice said on Thursday.

The decision to make the ICJ hearings available on the Internet was "in response to the exceptional interest in this case shown by the general public, civil society and the media world wide," the ICJ said in a statement.

The court has only limited seating for members of the public and journalists and is expected to be packed when it opens on Monday. The video footage of the hearings which will take place Monday to Wednesday will be available on the courts official website www.icj-cij.org. -AFP
