Pakistan, Bahrain to exchange trade teams


BAHRAIN, Feb 17: Industries Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi, arrived here on Tuesday to inaugurate Pakistan single country exhibition, which is being held here from February 17-20 .

In a meeting with Bahrain Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, Jatoi conveyed warm regards of President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali to him.

Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa expressed his admiration for Pakistan's great potential being the gateway to Central Asian Republics. Jatoi briefed the Prime Minister about Pakistan's economic as well as political stability. He also briefed about the reforms which have transformed economic growth and given boost to Pakistan's exports and reserves.

The Prime Minister said that the Kingdom enjoys excellent bilateral relations with Pakistan, which are built on strong foundations and needed to be strength ened further. He expressed his desire to visit Pakistan at the earliest.

The minister responded that Pakistan was eagerly looking forward to receiving the Prime Minister and his delegation.

He said that both countries could also exchange trade delegations and benefit from each other's expertise and technological know-how. The Premier agreed that exchange of visits strengthened the fraternal bonds between the two countries. -APP
