PCB awards three more contracts

By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, Feb 12: Three more business categories have been sold out for the India-Pakistan series out of the total of eight, a PCB press release said on Thursday. The PCB has so far fetched a record $7.311 million from the sale of five categories.

The board which had sold out the title sponsorship for $4m and co-sponsorship for $ 1.491m declared World Sport Nimbus as a successful bidder for in-stadia signage (unrestricted) for $1.287m and restricted for $383,800.

The rights of live radio broadcast went to a private Dubai- based TV Channel Ten Sports which had already got TV rights. Ten Sports will pay $150,000 for the radio rights. PCB chairman, Shaharyar M. Khan, clarified that a few minor categories of rights had to be re-tendered.

After this re-tendering the process would be over and in the interest of complete transparency, PCB would announce publicly all the offers received from the bidders, he said.
