PPP's protest camp from today

GUJRANWALA, Feb 12: The PPP local chapter will set up a camp outside the district courts from Feb 13 to Feb 20 to protest alleged humiliation of nuclear scientists and detention of Asif Zardari.

This was announced by PPP Divisional President Chaudhry Imtiaz Safdar Warraich, an MNA, while speaking at a party meeting here on Thursday. He said the party central leaders, Yousaf Raza Gillani, Ms Nahid Khan and Ahmad Mukhtar, would visit these protest camp during the week to express solidarity with workers. Banners and placards, emblazoned with anti-government slogans, would be displayed at the camp.

BIRD FLU: The poultry association has alleged that some of the multinational companies have aired rumours about bird flu in the province to damage its business.

At a meeting held here on Thursday, Punjab Poultry Association President Abdul Sattar and executive body convener Nazar Husain said there was no bird flu in the province, which had already been verified by the health organizations.
