PTCL pre-paid billing card system launched

By A Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Feb 12: Pakistan Telecommunication Company (PTCL)'s pre-paid billing card system became operational on Thursday, a press release said. The pre-paid card system, introduced only in Islamabad , would enable the customers to pay their telephone bills through phone instead of going to the banks and standing in long queues.

The cards are available for Rs300, Rs500, Rs700, Rs1000 and Rs2000. "The billing card is like any other calling card. The users just have to follow the instructions printed on the card to guide them about how to use it.

The money on the card can also be transferred to the next card if the bill exceeds the limit on the card," the press release said. The system has been launched on the instructions of Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali and the guidelines of Federal Minister of IT and Telecom Awais Leghari.
