LAHORE, Feb 8: Fine batting by skipper Yousuf Youhana, Abdul Razzaq and Adil Nisar helped Lahore beat Multan by 17 runs in a high-scoring first round match of the Quaid-i-Azam One-day Cup at the Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.

Youhana struck run-a-ball 84 and Razzaq a 21-ball 50 and Adil hit 63 off 82 balls to help Lahore pile up 320 for six in 50overs.

Youhana, who cracked five boundaries and two sixes, put on 155 for the fourth wicket with the left-handed Adil after Test opener Imran Farhat had gone for one.

Multan, propelled by half-centuries from skipper Aamir Bashir (76 off 77 balls, five fours and three sixes), Rehan Rafiq (56 with five fours and one six) and Saeed Anwar Jr (59 with five fours), made a spirited response to reach 303 for seven before theallotted overs were completed.
