ATTOCK, Feb 7: A mother allegedly poisoned her son in Haidra village of Rangu police station and three persons were injured in different incidents in various areas of the district , while a person along with his vehicle was kidnapped for ransom during the last six days.

Police said Mohammad Yar, a resident of Balwal district, reported to the Rangu police that his estranged wife, Shazia, was residing at her parents house in Haidra village.

On Eid day, his son, Hassan Bilal, went to see his mother but the next day he was found dead. He alleged that his son was poisoned by his wife. A case has been registered against the accused.

A cattle trader, Abid Ali, a resident of Basal, was shot dead by three unknown persons after depriving him of Rs28,000.
