NOWSHERA: Three killed in Nowshera

NOWSHERA, Feb 4: Three people were killed in various incidents in the last three days here, police officials said.

Sabir Hussain, son of Munawwar Khan, resident of Pir Sabaq, told the police that on Eidul Azha he was going along with his father to sacrifice the animal in a vacant place near his house in the village. But their rivals, Fazal Khan, son of Mian Khan and Zubair, son of Bazeed Khan, after seeing them allegedly opened indiscriminate fire with Kalashnikovs killing Munnawar Khan on the spot. The alleged attackers escaped after the murder.

The killers had old property dispute with Munnawar Khan, Sabir Hussain said.

Separately, a decomposed body of a 40-year-old man was found in Murdara area of Risalpur on Monday.

In another incident, a seven-year-old boy was run over by an over-speeding tractor-trolley in Azakhel locality on Monday. Ms Majeeda, wife of Ikramud Din, a resident of Nowshera Kalan, told the police that she was going with her son namely Inam to meet her relatives in Azakhel when the speeding tractor-trolley run over him.
