FAISALABAD: NTU to reopen on 9th

By Our Staff Correspondent

FAISALABAD, Feb 1: The National Textile University will reopen on Feb 9, it is learnt. Official sources told this correspondent on Sunday that NTU Dean Dr Muhammad Zuber had asked the students to join their classes from Feb 9.

Quoting a special notice issued by the dean, they said a meeting of the NTU management on Jan 30 discussed all matters relating to the protest of the students as well as version of the NTU management. The federal secretary for industries and production, who presided over the meeting, had assured that the matter would be resolved.

The students of the second and fourth semesters had been directed by the NTU management to attend their classes regularly because the examination for the third and fourth semesters would commence soon. The NTU administration had closed down the campus on Dec 11 last year and forced the students to vacate the hostels.
