LAHORE, Jan 31: PPP's think-tank has decided to launch a mass contact drive, and prepare a documentary on party's founding chairman Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and screen it on April 3.

This was announced by its convener Jehangir Badr and vice-convener Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar at a joint press conference, here on Saturday.

The think-tank would also celebrate the 25th death anniversary of the late former prime minister, they said.

Denying reports of groupings in the party, they said those who ever attempted to form a group were expelled from the party and they were lost in political oblivion.

Mr Badr said the think-tank, formed on the direction of party chairperson Benazir Bhutto, was meant to formulate various policies, present those to the chairperson, and get implemented any task assigned to it by her.

He said the first meeting of the forum was held here on Saturday, which was participated in by all, save one member. He, who would not attend three consecutive meetings of the think-tank, would cease to be its member, he added.

He urged the need for making preparations for the next general election at each and every level and strengthening the party and its wings according to the set policies.

He said launching a mass contact drive with the help of party wings would be a grand show to be organized by February end. All party leaders would attend it.

To inform people on the services of the late PPP founder, a documentary would be prepared and screened on his 25th death anniversary.

The political think-tank meetings adopted three unanimous resolutions, demanding return of exiled leaders, condemning institution of 'unlawful' cases against PPP's parliamentary leader in Balochistan Assembly Nawab Aslam Raisani, Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani and Yadgar Khan, and criticizing 'anti-people' policies of the incumbent government.
